Responsibilities
- Own and lead the backend architecture for Harvey’s embedded experiences.
- Design and build scalable, reliable backend systems and APIs.
- Partner directly with customers to understand their workflows and validate hypotheses.
- Drive technical decisions in a high-autonomy environment.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Navigate ambiguity to define new products and technical foundations.
- Mentor engineers and enhance system design and code quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in backend or backend-leaning fullstack development.
- Strong track record of designing and building scalable, production-grade systems.
- Comfort working close to the product surface and with customers.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Excellent context-switching abilities in ambiguous problem spaces.
- A bias toward ownership and action.
