Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end OutSystems applications spanning data models, backend logic, frontend delivery, and external integrations.
- Build modular, reusable components with clear separation between user interface, business logic, and data layers.
- Design backend architectures, business workflows, asynchronous processing, authentication, authorization, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Integrate applications with payment gateways, ERP systems, CRM systems, and third-party APIs.
- Architect for performance, scalability, maintainability, and multi-module reuse while addressing platform limitations.
- Design efficient data models and queries and optimize database queries, API calls, frontend rendering, caching, and data lifecycle management.
- Manage OutSystems versioning, deployments, environments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Lead technical discussions and solution design, mentor developers, and collaborate with product and business teams.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of overall software development experience.
- At least 3 years of strong hands-on OutSystems experience.
- Proven experience building end-to-end applications across frontend, backend, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of backend development concepts, APIs, asynchronous processing, workflows, database design, data modeling, and system integration patterns.
- Experience with performance tuning and debugging.
- Preferred: OutSystems Associate, Professional, or Architect certification.
- Preferred: experience building enterprise-grade applications from scratch.
- Preferred: knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for UI customization.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Preferred: experience with backend-heavy workflows, multiple external system integrations, governance, and platform best practices.
