Responsibilities
- Lead the technology roadmap and contribute to the modernization of CitiQuote, Citi’s Equity Derivatives pre-trade platform.
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, risk analysis, applications development, model development, and implementation activities.
- Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and recommend advanced programming and infrastructure solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and assess system usage to ensure successful design and functionality.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and install or support customer-facing systems.
- Define and maintain essential operating procedures and standards.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to junior analysts and act as a subject-matter expert for senior stakeholders.
- Assess and escalate technology, compliance, control, and operational risks appropriately.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in DevOps or operations, infrastructure support, and tech hygiene management.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- 6–8 years of experience with Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, and scripting languages.
- 6–8 years of experience with Kubernetes and containers.
- Experience with Couchbase, Kafka, ELK, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of DevOps best practices and test practices including TDD and BDD.
- Ability to learn Kotlin and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Java coding experience, C# experience, and finance experience—especially equity derivatives—are nice to have.
