Base Salary
$155k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define what to build and how to build it while shaping product direction from the engineering side.
- Build and ship AI voice-agent experiences from zero to one and iterate based on real driver interactions.
- Design systems for shared context, concurrent interaction arbitration, scalability, and investigation of real-time decisions.
- Document architectural tradeoffs and build generalized foundations for evolving use cases.
- Review designs, unblock technical decisions, mentor engineers, and serve as the team’s technical anchor.
- Introduce full-stack and AI-assisted engineering patterns and drive their adoption across the team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of products from concept through production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Recent primary experience shipping LLM- or agent-based products end to end, including evaluating AI behavior in production.
- Experience with AI memory, context, or retrieval systems such as RAG pipelines, vector databases, or long-lived session context.
- Strong programming and design fundamentals in Go, TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience designing APIs and service boundaries relied upon by other systems.
- Experience setting technical direction and mentoring engineers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction without formal authority.
- Located in and authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
- Preferred experience with zero-to-one products, persistent memory or personalization, multi-agent orchestration, scheduling or arbitration systems, and structured plus open-ended signal collection.
