Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software and algorithms.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software meets design constraints.
- Build and maintain ETL solutions using PySpark and JavaSpark and backend applications using Java and Python.
- Develop and deploy cloud solutions with AWS and work with Snowflake and Iceberg data models.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice, automation improvements, reusable patterns, and a culture of inclusion and respect.
Requirements
- Formal engineering degree and 6+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and operational stability.
- Strong ETL development expertise with PySpark and JavaSpark.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Python.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AWS cloud solutions.
- Experience with data models, SQL, DDL, and DML on Snowflake and Iceberg.
- Experience working with code repositories, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience leading or mentoring technically, banking-domain experience, collaboration with data engineers and analysts, and communication across management levels and business partners.
