Responsibilities
- Design and build integrations using request-reply, publish-subscribe, orchestration, choreography, and batch patterns.
- Develop interfaces with MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, TIBCO, and Informatica Cloud.
- Implement data mapping, transformation, enrichment, validation, error handling, and reprocessing paths.
- Build reusable connectors, templates, and integration assets.
- Develop event-driven integrations with Apache Kafka, Solace, and cloud-native eventing services, including topic, schema, ordering, replay, idempotency, and dead-letter patterns.
- Build data integration pipelines for ETL, change data capture, and bulk movement.
- Operate managed file transfer, secure file exchange, B2B, and EDI integrations.
- Integrate SAP, Salesforce, Veeva, manufacturing, laboratory, and quality systems.
- Own interface availability, throughput, latency, and capacity while contributing to incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Implement secure connectivity, manage secrets and certificates, and instrument integrations for observability.
- Manage integration artifacts as code and automate build, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, API, data, cloud, and application teams to establish interface designs, contracts, and ownership boundaries.
Requirements
- Typically five to eight years of professional experience in integration or middleware engineering.
- Hands-on delivery experience with at least one enterprise integration or iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, TIBCO, Informatica Cloud, or Boomi.
- Strong command of integration patterns, message design, transformation, and error-handling strategies.
- Experience with event-driven integration using Kafka, Solace, or a comparable platform.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience integrating a major enterprise system such as SAP, Salesforce, Veeva, Workday, or ServiceNow.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, message, transformation, and endpoint layers.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English, including direct work with business stakeholders.
- Preferred: managed file transfer, B2B or EDI, ETL, change data capture, Kong or another API gateway, API-led connectivity, MES or LIMS, and validated, GxP, or regulated-environment experience.
- Preferred: awareness of GDPR and related data-protection obligations.
- Preferred: MuleSoft Certified Developer, Confluent Kafka Developer, AWS associate-level, or Azure associate-level certification.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
