Responsibilities
- Design and discuss solutions for user stories and tasks.
- Develop, unit-test, integrate, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure the quality of delivered solutions.
- Create and maintain automated continuous integration build processes and build or deployment scripts.
- Set up, maintain, and develop continuous build and integration infrastructure.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with team members, report progress in Agile management tools, and manage task priorities and deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Support the Product Owner, IT Application Owner, Analyst, and Scrum Master.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of Google Cloud-based development experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Terraform, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and integration of internal and external web services using SOAP, XML, REST, and JSON.
- Experience configuring and deploying OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Docker with DevOps tools such as Git, TeamCity, Maven, and Sonar.
- Experience establishing, maintaining, and developing continuous build and integration infrastructure.
- Experience with software design patterns, UML design, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence and knowledge of Agile techniques including acceptance test-driven development, behavior-driven development, continuous integration, continuous testing, pair working, and automated testing.
- Knowledge of the Hadoop platform is an added advantage.
- Good communication skills, proactive teamwork, comfort working in multidisciplinary self-organized teams, and professional English proficiency.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs is a differentiator.
