Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
- Use application development procedures, concepts, and scripting tools to identify system enhancements and analyze code.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology teams and recommend programming solutions.
- Install and support customer-facing systems.
- Design applications based on specifications using programming language knowledge.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues and conduct testing and debugging.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts.
- Identify problems, evaluate information, and implement solutions with limited direct supervision.
- Assess and escalate risks while complying with applicable laws, policies, and controls.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
