Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Write and maintain GitLab pipelines and manage deployment infrastructure and delivery workflows.
- Create and publish Docker images for each microservice and support Kubernetes deployments.
- Produce and consume Kafka messages.
- Write JUnit and Cucumber tests for delivered features.
- Write and manage Gradle scripts to build and publish artifacts.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, peers, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, secure coding, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience developing Java Spring Boot microservices and writing efficient, performance-oriented code.
- Experience with GitLab pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, JUnit, Cucumber, and Gradle.
- MongoDB experience with microservices is valued.
- Knowledge of OpenAPI specifications is valued.
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift is valued.
- Knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, and GitLab is valued.
- Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and understanding of risk and controls are expected.
