Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, document, support, and operate libraries and frameworks across the full delivery lifecycle.
- Design scalable solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Develop architectural specifications, review application and interface designs, and coordinate functional and technical integration.
- Lead application development and testing while contributing to specifications, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and platform investigations.
- Evaluate technology environments and architectural systems, including security risks, and participate in technology selection.
- Manage technical debt, technical roadmaps, documentation, backlog refinement, and technical workshops.
- Mentor and coach junior developers and establish coding, code review, testing, and development best practices.
- Technically lead a team of 8–10 developers and act as a technical point of contact for global stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, development teams, and business stakeholders to deliver product value and resolve client needs.
- Ensure quality, timely sprint delivery, customer satisfaction, and effective handling of subjects from demand management through development and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including Java backend development and experience with JDK 8+.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Maven.
- Proficiency with React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Understanding of system design, scalability, performance, security design, integration design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with Java and Spring testing and automation technologies, including JUnit, TestNG, Postman, and Selenium.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience developing multithreaded, scalable Java/Spring applications and microservices.
- Experience with technical leadership, team guidance, stakeholder communication, and leading technical discussions.
- Knowledge of tools and products such as MarkLogic, Camunda, Red Hat OpenShift, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, GitHub, Gradle, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Ansible is beneficial.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, or Mesosphere is beneficial.
- Advanced written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to travel for business in Europe.
