Responsibilities
- Build the latest cloud technology features for customers and collaborate with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure teams.
- Work with Cloud FileSystems, networking, Google Cloud Platform, and enterprise ecosystems.
- Set technical strategy, clarify ambiguous problems, automate processes, and maintain high availability through defensive engineering.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for external partners, important clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and active sponsorship.
- Participate in or lead design reviews to evaluate and select among available technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages such as C++.
- At least 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
