Responsibilities
- Deliver production-ready code for compliance and platform infrastructure in Google Workspace.
- Design scalable and performant storage solutions and drive technical design for features.
- Make data-driven decisions to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
- Identify and resolve performance issues and intricate system issues.
- Develop solutions to technical challenges at the intersection of infrastructure and machine learning.
- Partner with product and engineering stakeholders across the storage domain to deliver high-complexity features and products.
- Research existing usage, understand API and service boundaries, identify customer needs, and find existing pain points.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or working with compute technologies.
- 2 years of experience in a people mentorship supervision role.
- 8 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience writing high-quality Java, C++, or Python code.
