Responsibilities
- Design and build intuitive, maintainable, responsive web application UIs using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Modernize legacy ExtJS modules into AngularJS components and current frontend standards.
- Collaborate with UX consultants, product managers, and backend engineers on prototypes, interaction designs, and product features.
- Consume and enhance supporting Java and Groovy REST APIs.
- Instrument frontend performance telemetry and identify user friction points.
- Develop automated cross-browser UI test suites for desktop and mobile browsers.
- Own user stories from wireframe design through production-ready releases and improve application performance.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience building cross-browser-compatible, responsive web applications.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, REST APIs, AJAX, and HTTP lifecycle concepts.
- Practical experience with frameworks and build tools such as AngularJS, ExtJS, jQuery, Bootstrap, Grunt, or Bower.
- Proven experience with automated UI testing frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, Protractor, or Selenium.
- Working familiarity with Java or server-side scripting concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working in an Agile/Scrum team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with Apache Tomcat, Spring, Grails, Groovy, servlets, AWS, Cordova/PhoneGap, iOS or Android web views, and enterprise security or identity management products.
