Responsibilities
- Own technical direction and architecture for custom software solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead design, development, testing, scaling, deployment, monitoring, and operation of large-scale software and services.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native microservices and shared secure CI/CD pipeline platform components.
- Build infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, alerting, observability, tracing, and performance-tuning capabilities.
- Develop, integrate, and roll out AI-enabled software development lifecycle tools.
- Automate unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing while improving system quality.
- Lead architecture and code reviews and maintain and improve existing codebases.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical feedback, identify training needs, and support learning initiatives.
- Influence multiple teams through technical leadership, shared knowledge, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product, stakeholder, operations, and customer support teams on technical challenges.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years in a related field such as Computer Science or Information Systems.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging mission-critical, low-latency, distributed solutions for large business environments.
- Expertise in Java full-stack development and strong proficiency in one or more of Java, Go, or Python.
- Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-native microservices architectures.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD, software delivery pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, secure coding, DevSecOps, design patterns, observability, and performance tuning.
- Experience with at least one major public cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or OCI.
- Experience with databases, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, indexes, optimizers, and data architecture.
- Experience leading software development teams and applying object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles.
- Experience with software testing automation and performance testing; familiarity with enterprise architecture, event-driven design, SaaS platforms, and engineering measurement frameworks is desirable.
- Experience administering development tooling and infrastructure such as GitHub, Jenkins, or SonarQube is desirable.
- Strong communication, decision-making, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
