Responsibilities
- Understand designs and requirements and develop and execute custom application features and functions.
- Translate business requirements into MVPs and user stories.
- Apply commercial cards domain expertise to design and implementation decisions.
- Own end-to-end solution design aligned with platform roadmaps and enterprise architecture strategy.
- Provide architecture direction and leadership to teams and stakeholders.
- Define and support business strategy and technology roadmaps with sponsors.
- Manage, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues while ensuring architecture governance and standards.
- Collaborate across business and IT organizations to develop solutions and resolve conflicts.
- Mentor and support colleagues and communicate technology trends.
- Design full-stack solutions spanning web, application, API, and orchestration layers.
- Develop resilient and highly available solutions for banking applications.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience developing and maintaining complex banking applications such as credit card processing.
- Significant experience in financial services or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of more than one card product; commercial cards experience is a plus.
- Experience delivering solutions over several years as a subject matter expert or in non-architecture roles.
- Proven ability to deliver collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, interpersonal, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Knowledge of or certification in at least one cloud platform, preferably GCP.
- Full-stack solution design skills across web, application, API, and orchestration layers.
- Good understanding of Vision Plus and mainframe systems.
- Very good knowledge of Python and data engineering concepts in GCP.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Cybersecurity mindset and awareness of infrastructure, integration, data, messaging, and security considerations.
- Experience designing resilient and highly available systems.
- Cloud certification.
