Base Salary
$117k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical leaders, architects, and engineers to solve distributed computing and infrastructure-management problems.
- Develop scalable cloud-native environments, VM orchestration, EC2 Auto Scaling Groups, hardened base AMIs, secure container images, and legacy platform support.
- Automate operational solutions for monitoring, performance planning, and disaster response.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting business-critical infrastructure.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code standards and development best practices to deliver reliable implementations.
- Write and review design documents, runbooks, service documentation, and system change records.
- Serve as a point of contact for legacy and new Compute system components.
- Work with multiple global teams to develop, configure, deploy, and operate Twilio’s global Infrastructure Platform.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure, preferably with AMIs, EC2, and IAM policies or roles.
- Strong knowledge of Auto Scaling Groups for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable cloud-native environments.
- Experience with hardened base AMIs and AL23.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python, including software architecture patterns, clean code, and debugging.
- Proficiency with shell scripting.
- Ability to work independently with multiple global teams across infrastructure development and operations.
- Knowledge of container-based applications and services.
- Preferred knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and continuous-deployment tools and frameworks, including GitHub, Buildkite, Terraform-TFC, ArgoCD, and Harness.
- Preferred operational experience with complex distributed systems, SLOs and SLAs, high availability and reliability goals, and tools such as Datadog or Prometheus.
- Preferred exposure to Falco for File Integrity Monitoring and awareness of PCI and SOX compliance frameworks.
- Preferred knowledge of Kubernetes and experience with Claude AI or similar tools.
