Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end CI platform features with tested code, monitoring, and reliable deployments.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tooling integrated with source-control and build systems.
- Operate platform services by creating dashboards, configuring alerts, responding to incidents, and conducting documented postmortems.
- Specify, prototype, implement, test, and deploy components with focus on quality, observability, and cost.
- Contribute to RFCs and ADRs while tracking and controlling technical debt.
- Use metrics and data to prioritize work, validate impact, and resolve quality-versus-speed tradeoffs.
- Improve platform performance, resilience, security, and operational reliability.
- Plan incident response, canary releases, and operational controls to reduce downtime.
Requirements
- Demonstrated autonomy in delivering end-to-end solutions and making technical decisions focused on business impact.
- Ability to decompose complex problems, prioritize by value, and apply an 80/20 approach.
- Clear technical communication for documenting decisions, leading discussions, and sharing knowledge through RFCs and ADRs.
- Data-driven approach to defining, monitoring, and validating KPIs with observability tools.
- Ability to operate and debug production services, create dashboards, and configure effective alerts.
- Commitment to code quality through automated testing, linting, and quality gates.
- Practical knowledge of build systems and automation such as Gradle.
- Familiarity with Databricks and Amplitude.
- Knowledge of application security practices including AppSec, OWASP, and SSDLC.
- Experience with controlled release techniques such as canary releases and feature toggles.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases for data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience with multiple clouds such as GCP or Azure and multicloud environments.
- Advanced experience with performance profiling and runtime and memory optimization.
