Responsibilities
- Architect and build a scalable frontend platform using React and TypeScript for a Kubernetes-native data product.
- Design user interfaces for Kubernetes cluster visibility, Spark job lifecycle management, and data pipeline observability.
- Define frontend patterns for real-time streaming, polling, state synchronization, and large datasets such as tables, logs, metrics, and traces.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate Kubernetes APIs and Spark execution and monitoring systems.
- Build high-performance dashboards using efficient rendering and virtualization techniques.
- Define frontend architecture, API contracts, data-fetching strategies, and error-handling standards for distributed systems.
- Optimize frontend performance through lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and minimizing re-renders.
- Implement frontend error tracking and performance monitoring for production systems.
- Mentor engineers and establish frontend best practices, coding standards, and design guidelines.
- Develop and integrate backend services using Node.js.
- Write unit and integration tests using Jasmine and Karma.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of experience building modern, scalable frontends using frameworks such as Angular, React, or TypeScript.
- Strong experience with frontend architecture and system design, including modular design, state management, and API layers.
- Proven experience building data-intensive user interfaces such as dashboards, large tables, logs, and analytics tools.
- Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Material UI, and Vue.js.
- Strong frontend performance optimization skills, including rendering, virtualization, lazy loading, and re-render control.
- Solid experience with API integration and asynchronous data handling, including pagination, retries, and error states.
- Experience handling real-time or near-real-time data in frontend applications.
- Strong code-quality practices, including clean code, code reviews, and testing.
- Experience using development tools such as VS Code and Cursor.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, including pods, deployments, logs, and metrics, is preferred.
- Basic understanding of Apache Spark, including jobs, stages, and execution lifecycle, is preferred.
