Responsibilities
- Manage SAP UI5/Fiori diagnostic, development, and remediation workstreams across architecture, code quality, OData integration, defects, performance, testing, and release readiness.
- Design and develop responsive SAP UI5/Fiori applications using XML views, controllers, fragments, routing, models, reusable components, Fiori Elements, and freestyle UI5.
- Integrate applications with OData services and CDS-backed services while applying SAP Fiori design and UX principles.
- Assess backlogs, defects, dependencies, technical debt, and go-live risks using evidence-based RAG ratings and RAID records.
- Create remediation plans with owners, priorities, sequencing, acceptance criteria, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Review UI5 code and designs for maintainability, modularity, performance, security, and development-standard compliance.
- Coordinate client, functional, ABAP/BTP, integration, testing, security, and system-integrator teams to resolve dependencies.
- Lead technical workshops, defect triage, remediation sessions, code reviews, design reviews, and governance discussions.
- Manage developers and technical activities within the workstream and escalate schedule, quality, and technical risks with supporting evidence.
- Support delivery recovery through root-cause analysis, defect reduction, backlog stabilization, technical remediation, and restoration of predictable delivery.
- Use approved AI tools for requirements and design analysis, defect investigation, code understanding, test preparation, documentation, and delivery-data analysis with human validation and policy compliance.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong hands-on SAP UI5 and SAP Fiori development expertise.
- Experience with JavaScript, XML views, controllers, fragments, models, routing, data binding, OData integration, SAP Fiori Elements, annotations, and Fiori UX principles.
- Experience with SAP Business Application Studio, debugging, performance optimization, UI5 troubleshooting, Git/version control, and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to lead a UI5 technical workstream and conduct code and design reviews.
- Hands-on experience supporting or managing SAP delivery recovery, including root-cause analysis, defect reduction, backlog stabilization, and technical remediation.
- Preferred experience with SAP BTP application development, CDS views and annotations, SAP S/4HANA extensibility, clean-core principles, Fiori Launchpad, SAP Build, automated testing, and SAP Cloud ALM.
- Preferred SAP Fiori/UI5 or BTP certification, S/4HANA implementation or AMS experience, Agile/Scrum and multi-vendor delivery experience, and exposure to accessibility and enterprise UX standards.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitate client and system-integrator workshops, communicate remediation actions, and manage technical risks.
- Ability to apply human validation, confidentiality, security, bias-awareness, traceability, and client and organizational policies to AI-assisted outputs.
