Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain the frontend of VS Code extensions using TypeScript.
- Implement interactive elements, custom tree views, workspace editors, Webviews, and custom editors.
- Establish protocols, APIs, and IPC mechanisms for communication between the frontend and Python backend/MASAR team.
- Build user-friendly and responsive UI panels using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and modern web frameworks.
- Write unit and integration tests for TypeScript codebases.
- Use Git for version control, branching, merging, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Integrate frontend builds with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech., M.Tech., or an equivalent engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
- 6–8 years of professional software development experience focused on TypeScript, modern frontend technologies, and desktop/tooling development.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, modern patterns, and the Node.js environment.
- Hands-on experience developing VS Code extensions using VS Code Extension APIs, Webviews, custom editors, and extension activation models.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and modern Webview frameworks such as React or similar.
- Experience with Git workflows and build automation tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience building client-server interactions using APIs, JSON-RPC, or local IPC.
- Good-to-have experience with Agile projects, Python, Angular, GenAI-based test automation, MASAR, requirements engineering, software documentation, C/C++ development environments, compilers, backend code generation, and PEP processes.
- Strong English communication, collaboration, self-management, and detail-orientation skills.
