Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and delivers secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Reviews and debugs code, resolves technical problems, and improves application operational stability through automation and remediation.
  • Leads architectural evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
  • Leads software engineering communities of practice and drives adoption of new technologies.
  • Guides team adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and related workflows.
  • Establishes standards for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, security, resiliency, and responsible data handling.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and AWS.
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and related software engineering practices.
  • Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
  • Preferred: exposure to AWS cloud technologies and experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants and SDD frameworks.
