Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Embed with business and platform stakeholders to scope and execute time-boxed Forward Deployed Engineer engagements with defined entry and exit criteria.
- Translate opportunities into production-ready delivery plans and build AI-first solutions across data, APIs, services, and workflow integrations.
- Prototype, harden, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable production systems using reusable platforms, templates, modules, and shared code patterns.
- Conduct discovery with operating teams and sponsors, validate feasibility, and promote reusable engagement learnings into shared platform capabilities.
- Apply secure-by-default engineering, privacy, observability, testability, evaluation, and operational-readiness practices throughout the software lifecycle.
- Prepare handoff packages and transition plans so owning teams can independently sustain delivered solutions.
- Coordinate with control, architecture, security, and compliance stakeholders to ensure governance-compliant production delivery.
- Write efficient, testable code, participate in code reviews, maintain software functionality, and manage technical debt.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team delivery quality, knowledge sharing, and refinement of FDE standards and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 10–14 years of hands-on software development experience, including direct delivery of production systems.
- Strong understanding of AI and agentic application patterns, including retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, and agent-based system design.
- Hands-on experience building backend services, APIs, and production systems across architecture, data, and platform concerns.
- Experience delivering AI, data, or workflow-heavy solutions in regulated environments is preferred.
- Strong systems thinking and architecture judgment across services, data, and infrastructure.
- Experience balancing delivery speed with governance, security, and operational rigor.
- Familiarity with reusable platform patterns, internal developer platforms, productized infrastructure, observability, evaluation, and day-two production ownership.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Python, with experience in APIs, service integration, application frameworks, and containerization.
- Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder coordination, delivery judgment, tradeoff thinking, and disciplined follow-through.

- Base salary expected to be $104,000–$210,000 per year at commencement, excluding potential bonuses, incentives, commissions, and benefits.
