Responsibilities
- Build hands-on proofs of value using prospect data and systems during the pre-sale process.
- Partner with Account Executives, finance teams, IT teams, and economic buyers to conduct discovery, technical evaluations, architecture reviews, security and compliance reviews, and RFP responses.
- Architect and deploy customer-specific AI Agent configurations for complex accounting workflows in production.
- Review and edit Python, write SQL, and troubleshoot integrations, data flows, configuration issues, validations, and API-driven workflows.
- Serve as the primary technical contact and escalation point for customer implementations, SLAs, renewals, expansions, and transformation engagements.
- Train customer teams on workflow redesign, change management, adoption, and value realization.
- Surface customer feedback and integration requirements to Product Management and Core Engineering, and create implementation guides and reusable deployment assets.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for technical evaluations, deployments, training, and adoption workshops.
Requirements
- 5 to 10+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable hands-on customer-embedded engineering role.
- Deep experience with agentic AI workflows and technologies including LangChain, LangGraph, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, RAG, vector stores, and hybrid retrieval.
- Experience with LLMs and related tooling including OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and prompt engineering.
- Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations.
- Ability to collaborate as a technical peer with Product Managers and Engineers and manage multiple deployments under delivery pressure.
- Ability to lead customer troubleshooting calls, translate ambiguity into executable requirements, and communicate with both engineers and executives.
- Strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and ability to operate across technical sales, production deployment, delivery, and revenue pressure.
- Preferred experience in high-growth SaaS, applied AI, fintech, ERP, accounting-adjacent domains, or one of the listed industry verticals.
- Prior experience embedded at a customer site for a multi-month deployment is preferred; non-traditional backgrounds including veterans, management consultants, competitive programmers, and PhDs are welcomed.
