Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software architects to develop software specifications and architecture.
- Design and code software components.
- Set up and maintain the software development toolchain.
- Specify, perform, and verify software tests.
- Manage software work products under configuration control.
- Support software-software and hardware-software integration activities.
- Apply established processes and standards and contribute to reusable solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements.
- Stay current with technology trends through learning and research.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Mandatory experience in software development.
- Knowledge of software architecture and component design.
- Familiarity with testing and verification processes.
- Understanding of railway software development or vital/safety-critical software development is desirable.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills; French is highly desirable and German is an asset.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Experience with concurrent engineering practices.
