Base Salary
$152k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain orchestration for performance benchmarks across physical bench-top systems, integrated with merge-blocking and release-blocking quality gates.
- Build monitoring, alerting, self-healing automation, and capacity planning for the bench fleet.
- Design end-to-end performance data pipelines and dashboards covering CPU/GPU utilization, memory bandwidth, latency, scheduling jitter, and regression detection.
- Partner with Data Science on experimentation methodology, variance analysis, significance testing, and analysis of non-deterministic workloads.
- Guide OS and system-level configuration for bench hardware, including Linux kernel tuning, boot infrastructure, networking, and hardware bring-up.
- Own benchmarking fleet planning and hardware allocation strategy across multiple hardware generations.
- Set the platform roadmap, make architecture decisions, represent platform needs to leadership, and coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industry software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and working proficiency in C++.
- Experience building data pipelines involving ingestion, transformation, storage, visualization, SQL, and analytical workflows.
- Deep Linux systems experience, including kernel configuration, boot debugging, systemd, networking, storage, compute, or bare-metal infrastructure.
- Experience setting technical vision and roadmaps, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and presenting trade-offs to senior engineering leadership.
- Comfort working with AI-assisted development tooling such as Claude Code and exercising judgment about AI-generated output.
- Preferred experience with performance engineering tools including perf, Perfetto, pprof, eBPF, NVIDIA Nsight Systems, or NVIDIA CUPTI.
- Preferred experience in robotics or autonomous vehicles, particularly with the NVIDIA DriveOS stack.
