Base Salary
$213k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems for large-scale simulation, evaluation, reinforcement-learning fine-tuning pipelines, and analysis.
- Scale the simulation and evaluation platform to accelerate the software development inner loop for 500+ onboard engineers.
- Develop modular ADV architecture and frameworks for low-latency, reproducible, realistic, and high-performance simulation and on-car driving.
- Optimize CPU, GPU, TPU, memory, and latency usage for simulation at cloud data-center scale.
- Resolve compute-performance bottlenecks across the ADV, simulator, and analysis software stacks.
- Develop high-scale performance evaluation, debugging, and software change-management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, physics, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar role.
- At least 3 years of experience with C++.
- At least 2 years of experience working on large-scale or high-complexity systems supported by hundreds of engineers.
- At least 2 years of infrastructure experience building performant, easy-to-use, scalable systems and tools.
- Preferred: at least 2 years in infrastructure, systems, or performance optimization focused on end-to-end high performance.
- Preferred: at least 2 years optimizing software systems using profile-guided techniques.
- Preferred experience with large-scale evaluation techniques, large-scale software re-architecture projects, and ML pipelines and workflows.
