Base Salary
$105k - $124k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support production applications and proactively automate operational discoveries.
- Improve application availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and proactive monitoring.
- Develop reliability studies, risk analyses, testing methods, and statistical process control procedures.
- Analyze failures and recommend design or process changes to improve reliability.
- Define reliability requirements based on stakeholder needs for large, complex multi-system products.
- Build, standardize, and tune operational dashboards and actionable alerts.
- Use incident analysis, root-cause analysis, and performance data to drive reliability improvements.
- Coordinate with business users, development teams, and system administrators.
- Work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience in business and risk analysis, IT Service Management, production support, product or project management, or application development.
- Expertise in Site Reliability Engineering or Reliability Engineering.
- Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and customer journey monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with APM, RUM, synthetics, monitoring, logging, tracing, and telemetry frameworks.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Elastic, or OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes.
- Experience using incident analysis, RCA, and performance data to improve reliability.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow.
