Responsibilities
- Own the operational performance, reliability, uptime, and SLA/SLO adherence of enterprise infrastructure platforms.
- Lead complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, problem management, and long-term remediation.
- Operate and maintain virtualization, cloud, storage, networking, and other enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to transition new platforms and changes into stable, supportable production operations.
- Automate infrastructure workflows using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, configuration management, or orchestration frameworks.
- Improve observability, alert tuning, telemetry, monitoring, performance visibility, and proactive issue detection.
- Perform performance and capacity analysis and advise leadership on resource planning and technology investments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams while collaborating with vendors, service providers, security, engineering, and business teams.
- Support automation and AI-enabled operational capabilities to improve incident response and platform efficiency.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure operations and engineering, including 24/7 production support, uptime ownership, incident response, and service performance.
- Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, enterprise storage, and networking technologies.
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring platforms, and SLA/SLO-driven operations.
- Experience with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management models.
- In-depth knowledge of security practices, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and complex infrastructure systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, security, business teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Exposure to AI-enabled operations, automation platforms, or advanced operational tooling is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree or educational experience in a related field is preferred, or relevant work experience.
