Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and optimize scalable, resilient, and secure machine learning services and components.
- Translate product and customer requirements into ML system designs, including low-level designs, API designs, and data models for training and serving.
- Implement and productionize ML models using maintainable code, automated tests, and reliability and observability tooling.
- Own ML features and services across data preparation, experimentation, training, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and incremental improvement.
- Participate in code and design reviews, reduce technical debt, and improve system performance, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and contribute to automation, orchestration, feature stores, training and serving infrastructure, and AI-driven tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern programming language and its ecosystem, with experience in low-level system design, API design, and data modeling.
- Experience owning ML features or services through development, experimentation, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, model lifecycle management, secure coding, and secure data handling.
- Preferred: experience building scalable, fault-tolerant, high-throughput ML services and online/offline data models and APIs.
- Preferred: experience improving ML availability, performance, and reliability through metrics, observability, automation, canary releases, and automated rollback.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML-enabled platforms, feature stores, training and serving infrastructure, data pipelines, model training, and model-serving APIs.
- Preferred: ability to influence ML system designs, use experimentation and evaluation metrics, and advance responsible and safe AI practices.
