Responsibilities
- Establish requirements and prioritize features for moderately complex software design projects.
- Design, develop, maintain, validate, test, and document software solutions and functionality.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, inspections, and software-hardware integration activities.
- Review and optimize existing software or firmware designs and resolve complex technical problems.
- Apply new technologies and innovative approaches to improve software designs and implementations.
- Develop custom tools or scripts for analysis, debugging, and problem solving when needed.
- Mentor junior exempt and non-exempt team members and collaborate with internal, external, and customer stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, or at least 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and software development frameworks.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, system-level programming, testing strategies, debugging tools, and performance optimization.
- Experience evaluating and integrating new technologies and adopting GenAI in the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and GitHub and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, independent-work, and prioritization skills.
