Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and enhance production-grade native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Apply application architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Integrate mobile applications with APIs, cloud services, SDKs, and external platforms.
- Develop mobile capabilities involving tracking, attribution, deep linking, in-app experiences, and customer journey optimization.
- Write, review, test, document, and deploy maintainable production-quality code.
- Build and maintain automated testing and CI/CD pipelines for Android application delivery.
- Work with AWS services and cloud-native architectures supporting mobile applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering managers, customer engineering teams, and clients.
- Communicate technical decisions, progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement of development, architecture, and delivery practices.
- Optimize the user experience of mobile applications.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing production native Android applications.
- Deep hands-on experience with Kotlin and strong understanding of Android application architecture, application lifecycle, and software design patterns.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, supporting, and deploying production applications.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs, SDKs, backend services, cloud services, and third-party SDKs.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud environments and cloud-based backend systems.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and mobile delivery automation.
- Strong testing, automation, software quality, code review, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Java experience supporting or modernizing legacy Android applications is preferred.
- Experience with mobile attribution, analytics, deep linking, Firebase, AppsFlyer, CDP or customer-data integrations, marketing technology, conversion-related initiatives, UI/UX, or modern web technologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with Generative AI technologies is preferred.
