Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the virtualization and harness layer, agent plan-and-execute engine, and friction detection and auto-ticketing pipeline.
- Develop dynamic step-level model orchestration that balances cost and performance across open-source models and Claude.
- Design scalable logging, cost, telemetry, and auditability systems for agent runs.
- Set technical standards for normalizing agent-readable use cases across capability platforms.
- Collaborate with capability, operations, and adjacent platform teams on friction reporting, PRD-to-action pipelines, RAG-backed architecture context, and OPA policy validation.
- Lead the roadmap for plugins, RBAC, alerting, auto-fix agents, continuous reruns, and governance visibility.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, document architecture, and contribute hands-on code.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience focused on large-scale distributed systems or developer platforms.
- Hands-on experience building or operating LLM-agent systems, including orchestration loops, tool use, and plan-and-execute patterns.
- Strong systems programming background in Python and Java with virtualization, sandboxing, or infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL, and React.
- Applied AI and prompt design skills for reliable, cost-aware LLM behavior.
- Proven Staff+ capability setting cross-team technical direction.
- Ability to work through ambiguity in a research-driven, next-generation engineering environment.
- Preferred experience with LLM or agent evaluation and benchmarking frameworks, policy-as-code, RAG pipelines, vector databases, cost and token optimization, multi-model routing, Intuit, CI/CD, Jira automation, or developer portals.
