Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for large volumes of supply-chain data.
- Own data modeling, data warehousing, curated datasets, feature engineering pipelines, and feature stores for analytics, reporting, and ML workloads.
- Partner with Applied and Research Scientists to prepare training data, deliver features, and operationalize model-scoring pipelines.
- Lead design reviews and make technical trade-offs involving performance, cost, scalability, and operational complexity.
- Own data quality, lineage, observability, reliability improvements, and production issue resolution.
- Deliver tested production software, participate in on-call operations, automate repetitive work, and reduce operational load.
- Mentor SDE I and early-career engineers and influence the technical roadmap for the data platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building complex software systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience with SQL at scale.
- Experience building and owning production batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hive, Presto, or similar distributed computing frameworks.
- Experience building data models and ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics, reporting, and ML workloads.
- Experience collaborating with science or ML teams to move models from prototype to production.
- Experience with data quality, validation, or observability practices for production datasets.
- Experience using AI coding assistants or agentic development tools such as Amazon Q Developer, Copilot, or Kiro.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals including testing, CI/CD, code review, and production operations.
- Preferred experience includes production ML deployment, large-scale data architectures, MLOps tooling, cross-team ML-integrated services, agentic development workflows, prompt engineering, LLM APIs, ML evaluation frameworks, data lineage and cataloging, streaming, orchestration, infrastructure as code, metrics and reporting infrastructure, or supply-chain and fulfillment environments.
