Responsibilities
- Design and implement distributed database systems and integrations for RDS for Oracle in AWS environments.
- Optimize database performance, high availability, scalability, storage architecture, and kernel-level behavior.
- Build customer-facing APIs, operational tooling, monitoring and troubleshooting tools, and automation for database management.
- Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, account managers, solution architects, and customers to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, design reviews, prototyping, deployment, documentation, and operational improvements.
- Ensure database solutions meet security and compliance requirements including FedRAMP, GDPR, and HIPAA.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
