Responsibilities
- Standardize deployments into repeatable one-button workflows across multiple environments.
- Design developer-focused SDLC paths, including environments, CI/CD pipelines, templates, local-development tooling, and delivery processes.
- Drive tested, reviewed, and versioned infrastructure as code using Terraform on AWS.
- Own SDLC toolchains including GitHub, CI/CD systems, artifact registries, scanning tools, and deployment orchestrators.
- Shape networking, air-gapped-system connectivity, and service-mesh patterns.
- Implement secrets management, RBAC, hardening, and compliance automation.
- Establish observability focused on reliability, performance, and business impact.
- Partner with engineering on Helm and ArgoCD release strategies, including canary and blue-green deployments.
- Lead system design by defining problems, documenting trade-offs, and explaining architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Practical experience with Ansible, Python, Makefiles, and Bash is desirable.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, OpenSearch, and ADOT is desirable.
- GitHub administration experience is desirable.
- Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions is desirable.
- Experience supporting JVM and TypeScript software-development lifecycles is desirable.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Ignite is desirable.
- Experience with API gateways, NGINX, and HAProxy is desirable.
- Experience with RabbitMQ and Amazon SQS is desirable.
- Experience with SonarQube, Helm, Harbor, and Nexus is desirable.
- Demonstrated automation-first thinking, disciplined version control, testing, collaboration, system-design judgment, and ownership of outcomes.
