Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of testing activities across multiple projects.
- Define testing strategies, methodologies, best practices, and reusable testing solutions.
- Create test strategies, test cases, and execute manual and automated tests for software products.
- Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools, including improving automation coverage.
- Analyze test results, investigate defects and root causes, and provide insights to improve software quality.
- Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance on automation, tools, frameworks, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality standards are met.
- Evaluate and adopt new testing technologies and approaches.
- Own and drive testing and test automation initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption.
- Contribute to the technical direction, standards, and continuous improvement of the testing team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 7 years of extensive experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency with testing frameworks such as JUnit or Gherkin and tools such as Postman and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with manual and automated UI testing, preferably using Playwright.
- Strong understanding of service-oriented software development in a .NET and cloud-based technology stack.
- Basic JavaScript and SQL knowledge for Postman tests and data queries is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, bug analysis, and root-cause investigation abilities.
- Ability to derive meaningful test cases from requirements, issues, and defects.
- Ability to independently drive testing or test automation initiatives through implementation and adoption.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to other testers and contribute to the team's technical direction.
- Leadership, mentoring, communication, and collaboration skills.
