Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-throughput data-processing systems for the data lake platform.
- Develop and maintain microservices supporting data ingestion and distribution.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Deliver high-quality code, follow coding best practices, and reduce technical debt.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize system performance.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile development activities.
- Collaborate with global team members across time zones to support 24/7 system reliability.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to technology and non-technology stakeholders.
- Learn and adopt evolving technology solutions to deliver business value.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing enterprise-grade, highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed services.
- Experience with Java, Spring or Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Experience with microservice architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase.
- Experience with GitLab or GitStash, Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD practices.
- Python, AWS, KDB, and fixed income products are desirable.
