
Senior Lead AX and D365 Developer

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 Finance & Operations ERP solutions.
- Design and develop X++ and MorphX customizations, forms, reports, classes, data models, AOT customizations, extensions, and custom models.
- Integrate AX and D365 Finance & Operations with external systems using AIF, DMF, web services, COM/ODBC, and OData/REST APIs.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, debug complex X++ code, conduct code reviews, and enforce development standards.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Document technical specifications, design decisions, and customizations.
- Support upgrade assessments and migrations to newer Dynamics versions.
- Use Lifecycle Services to manage and deploy D365 Finance & Operations environments, updates, and customizations.
- Work with the ERP Service Delivery organization, ERP Program Team, ERP Community, and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
Requirements
- 12 or more years of total professional experience in Microsoft Dynamics development.
- At least 7 years of hands-on development experience across AX 2009, AX 2012, and D365 Finance & Operations, with all three versions required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Expert-level X++ programming in Visual Studio and MorphX IDE.
- Strong knowledge of AX and D365 Finance & Operations data models, including Inventory, Finance, and Trade & Logistics modules.
- Strong knowledge of the AX 2012 layering model and D365 Finance & Operations extensibility framework, including extensions, event handlers, and Chain of Command.
- Experience with ERP implementations, external-system integrations, SSRS reporting, DIXF/DMF, SQL Server, .NET interop, and AIF services.
- Experience using Lifecycle Services, Azure DevOps, Git, TFS, GitHub, and AI-assisted development tooling such as GitHub Copilot.
- Understanding of ERP architecture, SDLC practices, software release and deployment management, and ITIL service management principles.
- Experience working in global, multicultural, multidisciplinary teams and integrating with various external systems.
- Fluent written and spoken English and the ability to interpret technical journals, specifications, and international technical standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Windows operating systems, and standard enterprise tooling.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment and possess or be able to obtain a valid passport for potential travel.
