Base Salary

$150k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

Build and maintain cloud-based backend systems for planning, scheduling, execution, inventory, traceability, and telemetry
Design architectures spanning embedded, on-prem, and cloud compute environments
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform
Ensure secure and reliable data movement between factory systems and the cloud
Build petabyte-scale visual data pipelines for ingesting, curating, indexing, and preparing manufacturing data
Design container orchestration and microservices architectures for ML infrastructure
Enable model fine-tuning workflows and deployment across hybrid compute environments
Implement workflow orchestration and data lifecycle management
Build systems that tolerate intermittent connectivity and degraded network modes
Develop observability through metrics, logging, tracing, and runbooks while maintaining high uptime
Implement APIs, services, database schemas, event-driven systems, operator-facing tools, and internal dashboards as needed
Ship production-grade systems end-to-end

3–6 years of experience building and shipping production software
Deep experience in backend systems and infrastructure, hybrid cloud and edge environments, infrastructure and DevOps, or data at scale
Ability to operate independently and own complex systems end-to-end
Experience working at terabyte-to-petabyte scale
Machine learning infrastructure experience in production is preferred
Manufacturing, robotics, or industrial systems experience is preferred
Ability to obtain a government security clearance is preferred
Department of Defense-related project experience is preferred
