Responsibilities
- Modernize a banking application by building its replacement using a modern technology stack.
- Contribute across requirements clarification, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Design and implement REST APIs and full-stack application features.
- Own features through refinement, estimation, implementation, and deployment.
- Develop clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, debugging, and quality activities.
- Implement and maintain automated unit, integration, and application tests.
- Support Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments and troubleshoot production environments.
Requirements
- Strong backend development experience with Java 21 or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs using OpenAPI or Swagger.
- Strong experience with Hibernate/JPA and SQL.
- Good frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and application testing.
- Working knowledge of Git, GitLab or GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Understanding of microservices and distributed applications.
- Ability to refine, estimate, and independently implement user stories.
- Experience owning features from requirement clarification through deployment.
- Preferred experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, WebSocket/STOMP, AWS/EKS, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, Keycloak, OIDC, JWT, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Preferred knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, production troubleshooting, and banking or loan-related applications.
