Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the software design and development of major Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components.
- Design, develop, operate, and debug distributed systems and low-level Linux systems.
- Build services and tooling that automate server lifecycle management, platform provisioning, configuration, security, and validation.
- Support new server platform creation, hardware bring-up, customer-ready instance provisioning, and firmware management.
- Develop scalable microservices and infrastructure tooling for Compute and GPU infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot systems, tune performance, and improve operational reliability across the stack.
- Collaborate with Compute, Networking, Security, Data Center Engineering, and Hardware Development teams.
Requirements
- 3-8+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems, Linux development, and systems debugging.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming such as C++ or Java and scripting languages such as Python.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Working familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, and standard network architectures.
- Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a strong plus.
- Must be based in Nashville, Tennessee, or fully willing and able to relocate there.
