Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain bare-metal and Azure Kubernetes clusters using kubeadm, Rancher, and AKS.
- Design scalable and resilient platform infrastructure across hybrid environments.
- Build and maintain Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins upgrades, patching, plugin management, and modernization.
- Manage GitHub and GitHub Cloud repositories and workflows.
- Implement infrastructure as code, disaster recovery, backup, high availability, and platform standardization strategies.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems and networking issues, including Kubernetes networking, ingress, load balancing, DNS, TLS, and hybrid connectivity.
- Drive cloud-native adoption and collaborate with engineering teams on DevOps platform evolution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of core DevOps experience with deep hands-on expertise in platform engineering and modern infrastructure.
- Strong experience with bare-metal Kubernetes, kubeadm, Rancher, AKS, and Kubernetes architecture and lifecycle.
- Expertise with Jenkins pipelines and Groovy, Jenkins upgrades and migrations, plugin dependency management, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong Azure knowledge, hybrid-environment experience, and infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, ingress controllers, L4/L7 load balancing, DNS, TLS/SSL, network policies, and VPN or ExpressRoute connectivity.
- Strong troubleshooting, ownership, independent execution, communication, and hands-on technical skills.
- Preferred qualifications include observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK; GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux; Kubernetes or Azure certifications; CI/CD modernization; and disaster recovery planning.
- Nice-to-have qualifications include AIOps or AI/ML implementation in DevOps and service mesh experience with Istio or Linkerd.
