Base Salary
$116k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using Modern C++ and/or Rust.
- Ensure code quality through comprehensive unit testing with GTest and GMock and adherence to coding standards.
- Develop and maintain embedded-system software involving memory management, concurrency, and multithreading.
- Optimize software performance in resource-constrained environments.
- Work with embedded databases, TCP/IP, NATs, MQTT, HTTPS, gRPC, and middleware components.
- Use Protocol Buffers for data serialization.
- Implement communication protocols and security standards such as mTLS.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience focused on embedded systems.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and real-time communication protocols including NATs, MQTT, HTTPS, and gRPC.
- Experience working with Linux-based systems.
- Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred: familiarity with Bazel.
- Preferred: experience with vehicle communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, and UDS.
- Preferred: automotive industry experience or familiarity with automotive-grade software development.
