Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, reviews, debugs, and troubleshoots secure, high-quality production software.
- Leads technical evaluations and architectural discussions across internal teams and existing information systems.
- Drives adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, validation standards, automation, and reusable development patterns.
- Identifies and automates remediation of recurring issues to improve software and system stability.
- Oversees production incidents, escalations, communications, and issue resolution across product, operations, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
- Supports payment technology across APAC, including real-time and cross-border payment environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining production or customer-facing systems.
- Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language and experience with a general-purpose language or scripting language such as Python or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, automation, cloud-native environments, and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and autonomy skills.
- Understanding of application resiliency, security, and production incident management.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services technology and IT systems.
- Preferred experience with real-time, cross-border, high-value, or low-value payments; NPP, BECS, RBA RITS RTGS, APAC schemes, ISO 20022, scheme SLAs and cutoffs, and 24x7 production environments.
