Staff Platform Engineer / Staff Site Reliability Engineer

- Set and maintain reliability, infrastructure, and accreditation standards across cloud, orchestration, operating systems, networking, and application toolchains.
- Design and guide platform-scale infrastructure while anticipating second-order effects and organizational constraints.
- Diagnose systemic reliability issues across multiple classification domains and implement structural fixes.
- Set the team's scripting and automation standards through safe, idempotent, maintainable code.
- Own the team's ISM/PSPF posture and accreditation approach across multi-domain environments.
- Shape reliability and secure-toolchain practices across software, autonomy, and Maritime engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers deeply and raise team-wide standards for automation, systems design, and infrastructure craft.
Requirements
- Around twelve or more years of experience in infrastructure, reliability, or platform engineering, with demonstrated experience weighted over formal qualifications.
- Trusted experience running production toolchains and classified-domain infrastructure end to end across multiple infrastructure layers.
- Authoritative experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Windows, Active Directory, VMware, and air-gapped estates.
- Real ISM/PSPF accreditation ownership and significant influence over how an estate is operated.
- Exemplary scripting and automation judgment, including safety, idempotency, and maintainability considerations.
- Platform-scale systems-design authority and the ability to communicate complex reliability and accreditation trade-offs.
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian NV2 security clearance; existing NV2 or equivalent is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes regulated Defence or critical-infrastructure environments, multi-domain accreditation, influencing practices beyond one's team, and mentoring senior engineers.
- Software-engineering depth in production service development using Go, Rust, or similar technologies is preferred but not required.
