Responsibilities

  • Research and immerse yourself in a real RBC business challenge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business, data, and programming specialists to develop an innovative product or solution.
  • Research, design, create, and deliver a fully functional prototype that solves a business need.
  • Work with subject matter experts, mentors, executive sponsors, and technology and business stakeholders.
  • Use industry-standard and emerging technologies to build the solution.
  • Participate in training on design thinking, agile development, and other tools.
  • Develop project strategy and communications and deliver executive presentations.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a college, undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program and graduating between August 2027 and June 2028.
  • Understand programming languages, databases, platforms, frameworks, design techniques and tools, code management tooling, and/or web technologies.
  • Understand Agile methodologies and processes.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Be a creative, analytical, self-driven thinker who can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, collaboration, initiative, and the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Have experience in one or more of cloud platforms and related technology, mobile application development, DevOps tools and processes, full-stack technologies, or service-based architectures and API development.
  • Preferred qualifications include hackathon experience, comfort presenting to stakeholders and large audiences, interest or experience in financial services or FinTech, web or mobile development experience, agile or design thinking experience, and Figma experience.
