Responsibilities
- Design, build, enhance, deploy, and maintain distributed messaging, streaming, caching, and NoSQL services.
- Develop core software modules, client libraries, SDKs, observability components, alerts, and lifecycle automation.
- Build and operate infrastructure across Kubernetes, OpenStack, bare metal, private cloud, AWS, and GCP environments.
- Automate, manage, tune, and optimize hundreds of distributed service clusters for resiliency and operational excellence.
- Evaluate open-source and cloud-native technologies and support production platforms through an on-call rotation.
- Lead NoSQL-related products from conception through deployment and maintenance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Kafka, Redis, or RabbitMQ administrator with cloud platform experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience using Java, Scala, or Golang.
- At least 4 years of distributed systems experience.
- At least 3 years of development and DevOps experience designing and operating large-scale distributed NoSQL and messaging systems.
- At least 1 year of leading a NoSQL technology product from conception through deployment and maintenance.
- Experience with distributed systems performance analysis, optimization, open-source service internals, and large-scale deployments.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Cassandra, Chef, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Linux system internals.
- Preferred experience supporting EU Sovereign Cloud or other regulated cloud environments, including data residency, compliance, security controls, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.
- Strong technical project leadership, collaboration, written communication, and ability to explain complex technical details.
Benefits
- Base salary range for Ireland locations is €72,000–€108,000 EUR, with potential eligibility for a bonus plan, commission or bonus, and annual refresh stock grants.
