Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, and launch scalable backend systems and APIs for partner and merchant integrations.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and technical decision-making.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support service availability, maintenance, and on-call efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write well-tested and extensible code, and provide code review feedback.
- Participate in interviewing and team growth and development activities.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems and APIs at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions spanning multiple software components.
- Strong debugging, code review, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
