Base Salary
$133k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in multiple phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems and APIs at scale for partner and merchant integrations.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, trade-offs, and product decisions.
- Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues when needed, and support team operations, availability, and on-call efforts.
- Navigate large codebases, debug code, write clear and well-tested code, and provide feedback through code reviews.
- Participate in team growth and development activities, including the interview process.
Requirements
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems and scalable APIs.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to turn business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components and implement clear, extensible, well-tested code.
- Strong debugging, code review, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
