Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and shared platform services on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code solutions and platform automation tooling.
- Build and operate Kubernetes-based platforms and cloud-native services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform integrations.
- Support cloud networking, identity management, observability, operational tooling, governance, compliance, and security controls.
- Monitor platform health, availability, performance, and operational reliability; troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response.
- Create reusable templates, standards, documentation, runbooks, and self-service capabilities to improve developer experience.
- Partner with architects, security teams, and engineering teams to promote cloud best practices.
- Support cloud cost optimization and platform efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience building and operating solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native technologies, and software delivery practices.
- Understanding of cloud security, networking, identity management, governance, monitoring, logging, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Experience with Linux administration and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and automation skills.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer or related certification is desirable.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP multi-cloud environments; FinOps; cloud platform engineering; internal developer platforms; policy-as-code; or cloud governance frameworks is desirable.
