Base Salary
$119k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, implement, and support scalable, secure, high-performing software solutions.
- Lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation while balancing delivery speed, quality, and maintainability.
- Influence architecture, engineering standards, modernization strategy, and technical best practices.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with architects, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate objectives into technical solutions.
- Contribute to event-driven architecture, microservices, backend-for-frontend, service mesh, and data mesh initiatives.
- Design and work with modern data layers including PostgreSQL and Yugabyte.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues and improve reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Integrate AI/ML services and apply AI-assisted development practices to applications.
- Champion testing automation, engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and collaborative knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Combination of formal education and experience in software engineering, with equivalent relevant experience permitted in place of formal education at hiring-manager discretion.
- Experience designing, developing, analyzing, testing, implementing, and supporting software systems.
- Experience with or ability to work across full-stack technologies including Angular, Nest.js, Node.js, and Python.
- Preferred experience with NestJS or another structured Node.js backend framework, Python, Django, or comparable backend technologies.
- Preferred experience with AWS or another major cloud platform and cloud-native applications.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, application observability, production troubleshooting, and legacy modernization.
- Preferred experience with PostgreSQL, relational databases, Kafka, Pulsar, Hasura, enterprise APIs, and third-party system integrations.
- Preferred experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, Git, GitHub, JIRA, and Visual Studio Code.
- Preferred experience using AI-assisted software development tools and working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
- Technical certifications and relevant project contributions are additional preferred qualifications.
